A half hour later the dancers took an intermission and the DJ took over on the background noise. Mary and Maddy, now clothed in black leather bikinis and matching feather boas around their necks, came out and had a seat at their family’s table.

“What did you think, everyone?” Mary asked after taking a sip of ginger ale.

“Splendid!” their honorary aunts sang out.

“Truly, truly, breathtaking,” Tom added, the host of their honorary uncles.

“You two are stars,” Herman slurred, now far beyond hammered.

“My dears, I have never been prouder,” Adelaide said and began tearing up.

Every head at the table turned to Ron.

“I love you two girls,” he said. “With all my undead heart. And though I admit it isn’t yet sitting well with me, you are amazing at what you do. And because it makes you two so damn happy, I too couldn’t be prouder.”

“Thanks, Daddy!” the twins cheered. They each got up to plant a kiss on his cheeks.

“Who were those two girls that staked you?” Tom asked.

“Yeah!” Herman cut in. “We’d sure cherish a nice meet-and-greet with them too!”

“That can be arranged,” Maddy said. “There they are, over at the bar.”

“Hey Suzie and Louise!” Mary called out to them. “Come on over here, will ya! Some fans would like to meet you!”

“Beauties!” Tabby and Melissa said.

“They’re twin sisters too!” Mary informed the table. “And you won’t believe what they have to say about us.”

The two girls approached the table, wearing only high heels and pink see-through thong-bikinis. Their hair was done up with bandanas making the perfect pin-up girl look. Though they were not completely identical like Mary and Maddy, they bore much resemblance. One was a tad taller and thicker than the other

“Hi, gang,” the taller one said. “I’m Suzie.”

“And I’m Louise,” the other said. “It’s such a pleasure to meet you all. We’ve heard so much about you! Especially you, cutie,” she said looking at Herman.

“Aww shucks,” the hernia growled.

“Tell them what you told us when we first met,” Maddy urged the other twins.

“We always dreamed of being exotic dancers,” Louise said. “But we were too afraid to give it a try because of our scars.”

“Scars?” Adelaide asked, then looked closely and saw that both girls had light pink scars and what appeared to be old burn marks scattered around their bodies. “You were so good at your dancing we didn’t even notice!”

“Our family had a car accident when we were kids,” Suzie informed them. “We got burned and banged up pretty bad. So we never thought we’d live out our dreams of dancing like this. Then we came here one night and saw Mary and Maddy in action. We figured, shit, if they can do it and get a positive response, why the hell shouldn’t we?”

“That’s right,” Louise cut in politely. “So we came to amateur night a few weeks ago and voila! Here we are. And we get the privilege of working with our new friends and inspirations, Mary and Maddy.”

“That is so beautiful!” Adelaide cried. “Really girls, I can’t tell you just how amazing that is to us.
